The Family Museum Plans a Huge Gallery Renovation
The Family Museum is developing a one-of-a-kind “On the Road” gallery set to open in 2024. This 1,800 square foot gallery renovation showcases sights and activities families might see and do on a road trip. The journey starts at the “Lemon & Clunker” mechanic where you prepare vehicles for a road trip by making sure they are in tip-top working order. Then, pack the van and hit the road! Take a rest at the 50’s-style hot dog diner, and make sure you visit the American oddities along the way. When you reach the campground, set up camp for the evening and climb the mountain for a bird’s-eye view. No road trip is complete without a little putt-putt golf – with dinosaurs in sunglasses! Funding for this project is through grants, sponsorships, and private donations. For more information about this, you can contact Ally Sweeney at (563) 344-4168.
The Family Museum offers interactive and educational experiences for young children in the areas of art, science, movement, and play. With 44,000 square feet of programming space, the Museum provides hands-on exhibits, drop-in programming, preschool classes, school and community outreach, comprehensive dance, and a variety of programs geared towards children eight and under.
The Family Museum and its non-profit foundation depend on community support to serve the children and families in our community. Northwest Bank’s Investment Management Group have provided the Family Museum Foundation with expert advice and endowment support that is both efficient and lucrative. Their advisors and investment options are always supportive and best established to support the Family Museum needs.
