Lobby Access Restricted


In order to practice social distancing and do our part to flatten the curve, we join other area financial institutions in restricting access to our lobbies to by appointment only. Our drive-up windows remain open from 8:00 - 5:30. Call us at 563.388.2511 to make an appointment.

Please be aware that during this time, some of our staff are working remotely in order to practice social distancing and help slow the spread of the coronavirus. However, all employees still have access to their emails and phones.
 

SBA Paycheck Protection Program


PPP Loan Application

On April 24, 2020, the President signed the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act into law. The Act provides $310 billion in additional funding for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).  If you are eligible, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. Small businesses should email nwbppp@northwestbank.com for a secure link to apply. Please use the documentation checklist that we've created and the current SBA PPP application, found here.

PPP Loan Forgiveness

The Small Business Administration and Treasury Department has released an application that borrowers must complete in order to have their Paycheck Protection Program loan forgiven. The form includes detailed information about the forgiveness process, including supporting schedules and required documentation. You can find the forgiveness application form here. This application form and the required documentation must be completed and submitted to us to process your forgiveness request.

The SBA has indicated that it will issue regulations and additional guidance for borrowers on completing the forgiveness form and we will update that information here when it is available.

New Web Tool for People That Don't Normally File a Tax Return

To help millions of people, the Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service today launched a new web tool allowing quick registration for Economic Impact Payments for those who don't normally file a tax return.

The non-filer tool, developed in partnership between the IRS and the Free File Alliance, provides a free and easy option designed for people who don't have a return filing obligation, including those with too little income to file. Like many banks, we have activated our Pandemic Response Plan as a precautionary step in response to the potential effects of COVID-19 in our area. At its heart, the Plan ensures we have the right resources and measured responses readied during this time of public health and economic uncertainty. In addition to the decision to limit lobby access, our Plan calls for specific actions, including but not limited to:

  • Monitoring a variety of sources, including the Centers for Disease Control, World Health Organization, and state and local health authorities for the latest updates and recommendations affecting our operations;
  • Introducing increased cleaning and sanitization efforts in our public and private locations while reinforcing healthy habits for our staff;
  • Ensuring employees have the time they need to return to good health without the worry of lost pay; and
  • Modifying or canceling large meetings and customer events.

In addition to the decision to limit lobby access, we encourage the utilization of:

  • Our drive-up windows, located at each branch
  • Northwest Mobile Bank & Northwest Mobile Bank for Business apps to review activity, make transfers and deposit checks
  • Online Banking to review activity, make transfers and pay bills, and
  • ATMs for cash handling needs

We encourage the utilization of these alternative banking options: If you have not done so, this is an excellent time to get access to our convenience solutions.
