SBA Paycheck Protection Program

PPP Loan Forgiveness

The Small Business Administration and Treasury Department has released an application that borrowers must complete in order to have their Paycheck Protection Program loan forgiven. The form includes detailed information about the forgiveness process, including supporting schedules and required documentation. You can find the forgiveness application form here. This application form and the required documentation must be completed and submitted to us to process your forgiveness request.

The SBA has indicated that it will issue regulations and additional guidance for borrowers on completing the forgiveness form and we will update that information here when it is available.

We love all the positive feedback we've received on the Paycheck Protection Program so far.

It's wonderful to know we've made such a difference for so many small businesses.

"Our employees were laid off for 3 weeks prior to us bringing them back this week. For various reasons, our employees have not received any unemployment benefits. It is truly a blessing to receive this PPP loan as we have talked to other small businesses that were not as fortunate. We sent the application late one evening and received an acceptance past midnight a few hours later! Mike was diligent and gave us outstanding service. We are grateful to be banking with Northwest Bank and Trust. We always recommend you to others and have nothing but praise for your employees and organization. Thank you! We appreciate everything you do for our business." - PowerGrafx

"We’d like to give a shout out to our partners at Northwest Bank and Trust, specifically Mike Goben. Mike worked tirelessly to find answers to all our questions about the PPP loan and walk us through the process. In fact, NWB has been by our side for nearly a decade. They are truly here to support small businesses." - Isabel Bloom

"We can’t say enough about the wonderful service we have received from Joe Slavens and the team at Northwest Bank. We’ve been with Northwest Bank for over 25 years and they have always come through when we’ve needed them. Our experience with the Paycheck Protection Program loan was just another example of their excellent customer service. They communicated with us leading up to the process and made sure we knew what we needed to do to be ready to apply. We received confirmation of our loan approval on the first day the program was available. We feel very lucky we were able to work with a community bank like Northwest Bank through this process." - Charles F. Day & Associates

"Managing Ridgecrest Village through the pandemic has brought financial challenges. The demands on our staff are greater than ever. Our staff is the primary personal connection our residents have at this time. I am so thankful for the funding we received through the Paycheck Protection Program loan and to Northwest Bank for making the process so easy." - Ridgecrest Village

"A huge thank you and shout out to Northwest Bank and Trust and especially to Emily for helping us secure our PPP loan. She was friendly and very responsive. They accepted all electronic submission so we could continue to practice social distancing. They thoroughly reviewed our applications and made sure we obtained the proper amount for our payrolls. For it being such a difficult and confusing time, Northwest Bank has stepped up in helping small businesses stay afloat." - Total Solutions

"Hotel occupancy is currently at historic lows. Many hotels have simply made the decision to close their doors for the duration and lay off their staff. The Paycheck Protection Program loan has allowed us to keep many employees on the job and keep our facilities open for first responders and others that need it. Northwest Bank has been one of the easiest, most responsive banks in helping us through this process. They worked through the weekend to be sure our application was submitted, and we are very appreciative of their help." - Hawkeye Hotels

"We received a PPP loan from NWB within 10 days of our application. Everything from the process of the application to the documents needed was seamless. This loan really brought us reassurance to continue to keep our staff on our payroll during this difficult time and it allowed us to continue our focus on providing services to our patients in need". - Iowa Cancer Specialists

"Northwest Bank helped us navigate the ever evolving process of the PPP quickly and effectively." - N.J. Miller, Inc.

"I’m very thankful that I was able to receive a Paycheck Protection Program loan through Northwest Bank. Mike worked with me through the entire process, helping me be prepared for when the application process opened, and keeping me apprised of the details all the way through. I appreciate how much better it was to work with a local bank when I see some of the stories from others that didn’t get the same type of attention." - Anthony Hathaway DDS

"Northwest Bank was so agile in responding to the PPP small business loan program, that we were the very first business among the business people we know to be funded through the program. And while many businesses were left out of the first round of funding, we were safe because Northwest Bank knew what they were doing. You know what else, when you call a real human being picks up the phone. Where else can you find that in the banking world." -

"When the COVID-19 pandemic began to shut down Iowa, we lost our ability to finish jobs because we could no longer go on site. If jobs weren’t being finished, we weren’t getting paid and we couldn’t pay our workforce. As a small business, we feared we wouldn’t have the ability to survive. And our bank, one of the big national banks, wasn’t yet accepting loan applications. So we turned to Northwest Bank & Trust. We contacted the bank and made the application on April 3, and on April 17 our payroll was paid through the PPP loan we received through Northwest. The loan process was painless and quick and the staff at the bank was friendly, professional, and eager to help us. I’ve never had better service anywhere." - Glass Heritage, LLC
