Online Banking Stop Payment Disclosure
Customer agrees to hold Northwest Bank & Trust Company (“Bank”) harmless for any and all loss or liability arising out of its agreement to stop payment of the check, to indemnify Bank against any and all costs incurred by it as the result of refusing payment of the check and to hold Bank free of all liability if the check is paid prior to its reasonable opportunity to act on this stop-payment order.
A stop-payment order is effective for six months, but lapses after 14 calendar days if the original order is not confirmed in writing within that time period. Bank will send you a written Stop-Payment Order form. If you do not sign and return this form to Bank within 14 calendar days, the stop-payment order will lapse.
A standard fee will be assessed to the account on which the stop-payment order has been placed.
